What I've done to get to meet people is to join a group on FB where there are a lot of freshman from the school. (e.g. Awesome University - Class of 2014!) I cannot stress this enough. By second semester, everyone already has made friend "groups". So, if you're very friendly and just say Hi like Jamie stated in the article, it'll be easy. That's what I did, and now I have the greatest friends in the world! Plus, everyone wants to meet as many people as possible. It's the best part of college! First of all, it is so important to meet people. I cannot stress this enough. By second semester, everyone already has made friend “groups”.
